Mark Gleaton (Guitar) lives in Gaston, SC and is married to Doris with two grown step-children.  He is a member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church where he currently serves as deacon.  Mark spent many years concerned with worldly affairs but recommitted his life to the Lord in 2001.  He has always enjoyed music and playing acoustic guitar so becoming a member of Hi-Cotton  has fulfilled a life-long dream.  Mark feels the Lord has blessed him with this unique opportunity to be a part of a gospel music ministry utilizing his passion and love of music for the glory of God.

James Hallman   (Vocals) made his earthly appearance on October 16, 1952.   He traveled the earthly road and endured a number of difficult lessons before choosing to accept the grace of God in September 1982.  James is a carpenter now, but in the past he has developed the skills to be considered a jack of all trades.  He married in 1970 and is the proud father of two grown sons, each of which have blessed him with two beautiful daughters-in-law.  His older son and daughter-in-law have enlivened his "old" age by providing an extremely creative grandson and a very inquisitive granddaughter.  Retired from public jobs he spends his time ministering to his Sunday School class and taking mission trips.  However, all free time finds him in his recliner holding a five pound ball of fur (his dog) that holds the mistaken idea that he is the baby.

Mike Hallman (Vocals) is a member of Bethlehem Lutheran (yes, Lutheran) Church in Leesville, SC.  He has been a fan of southern gospel music for many years (thanks, Mama).  He has been employed by Union Switch and Signal in Batesburg, SC for over 10 years.  He enjoys being a part of Hi-Cotton because it lets people know there truly is joy in doing the Lord's work and it allows him to see other ways people worship.

Paul Hood (Guitar and Vocals) Paul lives in Elloree, SC and attends Jerusalem Methodist church there.

Billy Isgett  (Saxophone) Bisgett accepted Jesus in November 1994 and began playing Gospel music after playing in clubs for 30 years.  He has been blessed to play the Lord's music since then traveling over the southeast with a Southern Gospel group.  God sent him to Hi-Cotton in March of 2002.  He participated in the solo competition at National Quartet Convention in 2002 where he won what he considers the Grand Prize.  A six year old girl was impressed enough to draw a picture of him on stage on one side of the paper and a trophy on the other side.  He asked God to let his music touch someone at NQC, and He did in a grand way.  Will says he will never forget that moment.  Bisgett loves to share how the Lord has blessed him.  He also does work with two churches and the occasional solo concert as the Lord leads.  He is married to Esther and they have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.

Jimmy Johnson (Harmonica) lives in St. Matthews , SC and is a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Orangeburg, SC.   He has been married to his wife, Dianne, for 32 years.  They have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren.  By being a part of The Hi-Cotton Singers, he hopes that God’s Kingdom will be advanced.  Jimmy says “ It is my greatest desire that people will see evidence of Christ in my live and that I will always be ready to be a witness for Him.”

Glenn Mills, Jr.  (Vocals, Piano) is the son of a Southern Baptist pastor and is a licensed minister himself.  He has served several churches as either Minister of Music or Youth in the past.  He currently concentrates on managing the Hi-Cotton Singers and doing some solo work as well.  He and his wife Theresa  have two children, Cameron and William.  Glenn works full time for the South Carolina Dept. of Social Services as a local area network administrator.   Glenn enjoys the time he spends with the guys in the group and considers it a privilege to serve God in such a way that allows him to minister to so many different people and have such a good time doing it.

Ansley Morrison (Bass Guitar, bass Vocals) Ansley has been around Gospel music all his life and has traveled with several groups over the years.  Most recently he's been involved in a solo ministry.  He is a deacon at Ward Baptist Church.  He is currently employed at FleetPride as an account manager.  Ansley and his wife Tina have two grown children, Alicia and Drew.  Ansley says "The main goal in my life is to uplift the name of Jesus and sharing the things He's done in our lives."

Drew Morrison (Sound)  Drew lives in Columbia, SC with his wife Stefanie and their 3 children (1 dog and 2 cats).  He is employed by Wachovia bank where he works as a teller and is a member of Ward Baptist Church.  Drew has always enjoyed music and has been involved in music all of his life.  He marched in the USC Marching Band for 3 years while in college.  Drew says "I am so happy to be able to use my love of music in a Christian way to share God's love for us with all who hear the group sing."

Kevin Reynolds (Vocals) Kevin says, "I am living my dream - singing music with a positive message, the message of Christ and the uplifting life he gives".  He enjoys fishing, camping, soccer and, of course, he loves to sing God's praises.

Virgil Templeton  (Vocals)  Virgil and his wife Jeanette have been married a long time.  We have four grandsons who we love dearly.  Ethan, Ryan Devin and Dillon.  Virgil's son Robert and his wife Linda are the parents of Ethan and Ryan and his daughter Samantha (deceased) and Eric Morris are the parents Devin and Dillon.  Virgil says "always remember, when you stumble just reach out and ask God to take your hand.  He's always there for you.  He'll never let you down".

Bill Wise (guitar, dobro, fiddle) Bill is retired as the owner and operator of his own printing and publishing company after 52 years.  He began playing music in 1950 and has played bass guitar professionally in both country and gospel groups.  Bill also plays guitar, steel guitar, fiddle, mandolin and piano.  Bill has been a member of Hi-Cotton since October 2006.

Jim Mclane (1965-2006)
